Liverpool will begin the new season as newly crowned champions with a brand new kit made by clothing giants, Nike.
After winning their first premier league in style, Nike took over the new kit deal from the previous suppliers New balance, whose deal expired on, July 31.
The five years agreement with New balance was supposed to expire on July 1, but because of covid19 which interrupted the season and delayed the final game of the session, Nike’s partnership with the club will start on August 1.
However, the jersey will be first won in the community shield between Liverpool and either Arsenal or Chelsea depending on who wins the FA cup.
They declared how happy they are to be starting the partnership with Nike the global leaders in sports apparel.
Billy Hogan, managing director, and chief commercial officer at LFC said, we said back in January, when we first announced the new partnership deal with Nike, about our expectations to become incredible partners for the club.
He concluded by saying, that they look forward to working together to bring good performance to their supporters in years to come.
