Odion Ighalo Nigerian Star Joins Saudi Club Al Shabab FC

Odion Ighalo Ex Nigerian Striker on 4th February signed for Saudi Arabian giants Al Shabab FC after his 1 year spell at EPL giants Manchester United ended.

The former Watford striker made this known through his IG handle  with the caption “ New Chapter..  @alshababsaudifc we move.” With a video of the Saudi Arabian club stadium.

Odion Ighalo’s contract with his new club now spans for 2 and ½ years mid 2023.

He rise to fame came from his ever presence in the English side Watford FC after which he swap the English side for Shanghai Shenhua, in the Chinese League.

During Recall that the 2019 AFCON he was the highest goal scorer.

According to the 31 year old Ex Nigerian striker’s representatives a host of clubs were vying for his signature but he eventually settled for the Saudi side due to their strong interest and clear cut out ideas about their future plans.

Odion Ighalo who is a boyhood fan of the Red Devils joined his dream club on deadline day of 2020 January deadline day on an initial 6 month loan deal which was later extended by further 6 months due to fine scoring form.

During his 1 year spell at Old Trafford, he amassed 5 goals in 23 appearances in all competitions.

Before his exit, he bid his farewell to his former side and Coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and team mates  and wished them the best.

To add to his trophy cabinet his the 2019 Chinese FA cup he won while at Shanghai Shenhua, A bronze medal he won during the 2019 AFCON competition in Egypt.

After the 2019 AFCON competition, he hung up his boots for international games for his country after scoring 16 in 35 appearances.
