Harry Maguire to remain as Man Utd captain despite police assault court case in Greece

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United head coach has finally said that Harry Maguire is not going anywhere, he said that despite his issues with the Greek court, that he will remain the Manchester United’s captain.

This incident happened after Harry Maguire claimed that his family and friends were attacked at a night club.

This led to his involvement with the police, he was suspended for 21 months after they claimed he as found guilty of many crimes including resisting arrest, assaulting the police, swearing, and even bribery during an incident in Mykonos island, Greece.

Giving him 21 months’ suspension was not the only penalty he paid, he was also withdrawn from England’s squad for their recent international trip, because of the court verdict.

Although he has been denying the offenses and the charges leveled against him, and because of that he launched an appeal that nullified the verdict.

This means that he has no sort of criminal record, and it will therefore permit him to play football until his retrial begins.

However, Mr. Solskjaer has made it clear that he is not going to let the case he has with the court affect his captaincy.

He said that Harry Maguire, is good at his work, and he added, that as for him , Maguire is just a top personality and has always been like that, filled with positive energy and also the right value.

These personalities he possesses, make the coach and the club vile for him no matter what.
Maguire is not just a captain, he is also a defender, as a matter of fact, he is the world’s most expensive defender and he joined Manchester United for £80 million ($102 million ) from Leicester.
